Advertised as a gaming laptop, but to be honest, the Radeon 6650M is just a mid-range GPU having same performance as a GeForce 540M found on this much cheaper laptop. But with the help of the 2.2 GHz Core-i7-2670QM and 6GB of RAM (two empty slot available to increase the maximum of memory to 16GB), it performs 60% better than the previously mentioned Acer TravelMate’s CPU. A more spacious hard drive than the 750GB one and a Bluray drive instead of 8X DVD Multi Double-Layer drive would have been welcomed, but at least you won’t settle for a mediocre VGA webcam, but with a 1.3MP one with a maximum resolution of 1280×1024. The 17.3 inches screen is bright and beautiful, until you are aware that the maximum resolution is of 1600×900, could have been much better with a 1920×1080. The exhaustive list of connectivity consists of three USB ports (one of them is 3.0), 10/100/1000Mbps Ethernet LAN port, 1 VGA, 1 HDMI, Multi 5-in-1 card reader, integrated Wi-Fi b/g/n and no bluetooth. The machine has Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit installed on it, the battery life as you might expect it, doesn’t exceed three hours and the weight is 3.2KG.
