The Apple iPod shuffle is special: it is cheap, tiny, plays MP3 songs yet does not have a screen. Pressing a button on the shuffle makes it say the name of the current artist and the title of the song! The shuffle, being an iPod, has been designed to work with the freely downloadable iTunes software for managing songs. The shuffle plays MP3 or AAC songs easily and with its capacity of 4Gb, it can hold about one thousand such songs. The shuffle is simple to use: you select tracks to put on the shuffle and it plays them either in order or randomly. Playlists can also be created in iTunes which the shuffle will happily play. As a good yet cheap MP3 player, the shuffle is a great buy. A cheaper but smaller capacity (2Gb) Apple iPod shuffle exists too.

The Apple iPod nano is an excellent MP3 player. It has 16Gb of storage space and most people will be able to fit in their whole song collection. The nano can also say the name of the artist and the title of the song being played and that's great when driving. It is fully compatible with the innovative iTunes genius mixes: playlists of songs automatically created by iTunes and which sound so great when listened to. The nano even has an FM radio with Live Pause. In addition to these audio prowess, the iPod nano features a video camera with effects which can be used to record videos to be shared on YouTube or Facebook. Its 2.2" widescreen is good enough to watch movies on. All in all, the iPod nano is packed with features and is highly recommended.
